Brock Mission is proud to be the local host for the “Coldest Night of the Year” walks in Peterborough!

On February 25, 2012 communities across Canada were walking to raise awareness and money to address homelessness in Canada.

Here at home, Joyce Hodson, our tireless fund-raising Board Member, was the local Event Director, with Mike Judson, CHEX TV weatherman, our Walk Marshall!

THANK YOU to everyone who walked or supported a walker for Brock Mission. All donations, big & small, are so greatly appreciated! The next walk and another challenge, from Joyce Hodson, our Event Director:

NEXT YEAR: Plans are underway to rent the Armouries, as we expect to have 400-500 people walk next February.
Bridget & the Gospel Girls (who provided entertainment at this year's event) are planning on putting
on a dance following next year's WALK.

CHALLENGE! Ten-year-old Jenna Rye has challenged everyone who walked this year to raise $1,000 next year.
I would also like to challenge each and every one to put in their own team of 5-10 walkers.
I know that this winter-walk has the potential to grow with wonderful financial results for Brock
Mission, Cameron House, and the Open Table.
